do you need to run 2 batteries when you only run 1 brushless motor in the e-sav?

Most brushless motors that are big enough to run the e-savage would need two batteries. You need to use a y-harness to connect them to one brushless esc.

Hey guys, sry im not looking through 9 pages of info. I know its probably been answered millions of times but does anybody know the motor limit of the stock e savage esc for 540 motors not 550? the EVX2 can handle down to 10 turns so this thing must be at least 19 or something right? thx guys

It is not suggested to use 540 motors with that esc. It says in the manual, and 540 motors are not always large enough to power a 4 wheel drive monster truck.

Yeh,
You should be looking at larger motors not smaller motors. I would suggest to do either a 600,650 or even 700 motor conversion. I have heard that the stock esc will handle 700 motors with no problem as long as its geared right.

haha, i dont care what the manual says, what can it handle with 540's? people have put 540's in emaxx's and they go like crazy, this thing is even lighter so there should be no problem

I was thinking the same thing... Ive ran dual greenmachine 3 pro 540 motors in my e-maxx and its pretty darn fast! The e-savy is on a diet so dual 540's should be able to easily power it. Look into some nice 27t motors such as the CO27 or the greenmachine's.

Sorry but this is the case where bigger is better. The 700 motors below are some of the fastest 700 motors out there and are way more powerfull than any 540 motor on the market, so why would you even want to put a 540 motor in it???? You will want two of the 700 motors of course.
Get the stuff below and don't look back If you want to make your friends cry, either go brushless or get the brushed setup below.

Question guys, When you put heat sinks on the stock motors, do you remove the sticker on the motor?

Thanks.

Yes you do. Take the motor sticker off and use some alcohol to remove the glue. Then use some contact grease found in computer stores to get good contact between the heat sinc and the motor.
This is the method to get the maximum cooling results and yes it does make a difference.

So.. How is the E-savage 's durability compared to its Nitro version... I have heard many stories of how durable the nitros are... what about the Electric one?
