When you get one, race TD and see how it performs to it. I have yet to see a good comparison with the emaxx and esavy.

Status: offline 		He actually traded his e-maxx to his brother for a rustler. Because he is getting that warhead that he is going to convert to brushless. I don't think it would be a fair fight anyway, they are brushless with a lot of hopups and mine will be pretty much stock.

I hope to get the sport, with two IB4200wc stick packs, and the MRC 977.

Because it is using an already proven successful design. Because it is strong as hell. (ask the owners not me) And it can do anything, and go anywhere.

And for you others, did you notice that the aftermarket is slowly growing? speedtech, and integy.

Status: offline 		The main reason why the emaxx has tons of aftermarket support is becues it has been out for a few years now. Im sure in a few years, the E-Savy will have as much or more afternarket support than the emaxx.

Search for JCD Viper's review about 0 days ago, he bought both and shared his opinions on both cars. He liked the Savage out of the box better than the Maxx.

Good idea on the thread its hard to post about an e savage without an argument starting.

Status: offline 		I have one, good truck. First thing before you run it out of the box you should check the diffs for proper shimming, they don't do a very good job initially. Disconnect the front drive shaft and spin the diff by hand, if there is any binding or tight spots the shimming isn't right (same for the rear diff) also make sure there's plenty of grease on the gears. Second replace all the connectors with powerpoles or deans. A small fan on the Esc helps keep it cool, replace 4 of the red shock springs with blue ones for the Savage to stiffen up the very soft stock suspension setup. Check the slipper adjustment, may be too loose. With the 4200's this thing a wheely machine so if your's isn't, the slipper is probably too loose. Lastly I replaced the rear drive axles with E-Max parts as they are stronger. I've had no problems or breakage so far even after a 30 plus yard cartwheeling event, I was amazed nothing was damaged.

Yah at first i was compairing out of the box, the savage kicked the E-maxx's butt OUT OF THE BOX, so i had to do something to the Maxx to keep up with the Savage. So i bought a Novak Brushless motor, i don't have the 6.5 i have the HV4400 motor. I should have specified that. I'm not sure how much faster the 6.5 is comapired to the HV 4400? All i'm saying is that IF i had to choose one, i would get an E-savage. I'm keeping both trucks but if i only had the money to get one new truck, i was suggesting that i'd get an E-Savage. I had a million questions about each truck before i had one, and when i asked i got ton's of biased opinions, people with Maxx's said maxx's were better and people with savage's said savages were better, SO i bought BOTH and comapired them myself. Some people can't afford both so i was just informing people in the market for an E-savage or an E-maxx my unbiased review. I like both trucks, but stock to stock the savage wins hands down.

Status: offline 		i agree to check the clutch cause mine was a wheely king for the first run then after that i couldn't get the front end to even wanna come up. i been jumping it off the roof of my house and even nailed the deck railing and nosedived it hard on the ground and cartwheeled it and it is was flawless. i am gonna get some ib 4200's as soon as i get a lil extra money cause the stock batteries went for my tamiya f-350 high lift, which they work perfect for. and of corse there is gonna be alot of e-maxx aftermarket stuff when they have had the exact same design for what 8 years?

Status: offline 		So original savage springs don't put to much stress on the shocks? And you only replace four, one on each wheel? Did you use IB4200's?

These are what I am going to use.

Status: offline 		No the reason the E-maxx has so much aftermarket is because its basically the same layout as the t-maxx and the t-maxx was truck of the years for 2 years I think. When was the e-savage truck of the year? I never heard about it? IMO the e-savage will never have as much aftermarket as the t-maxx/e-maxx because 1st of all its an e-zilla copycat and 2nd of all it been out for awhile and RCCA magazine would've already gave the truck of the year award away. Its just not happening.
