I'm slightly confused how the title is BETTER CAR and given that you're looking into the Sprint 2, people had the AUDACITY to suggest a TT01. HA!!! That's hilarious. I mean, sure the first guy was an A-HOLE, but he had the most honest response thus far. TT01. Better than a Sprint 2. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Whew. Okay. The TT01 is CHEAPER than the Sprint 2, but not better. You gotta hop-up the whole d@mn car. I mean, the Sprint2 is no gem outta the box either, but it at least comes "drift tires" and may even have oil filled shocks. If you want better, you're going to have to pay more. The 2 best are the MR4TC and the TA03F. However, one of those has been discontinued (I'll let you figure that one out) and the other has just had the basic package upgraded. They both drift out the box with no hop-ups needed. However, they're both pricey. One is hard to get (cuz it's pricey), the other is HARDER (cuz it's pricey and since they don't make'em anymore, you gotta find a good pre-owned one)to get. I'll let you figure out which is which. I'll even give you a clue. The maker of the recently upgraded one starts with a Y. Now, Team Losi also has a new "drift kit" on the market. Haven't driven it yet, but I've heard good things about it. Comes RTR. It's also rather pricey. Look into that. Another alternative is using the TC3/TC4 set-up. I've done that and I know a few (good) drivers still using that. Tires are all you need to get going with that. And, most of the parts between the TC3 and TC4 are interchangeable. Also, both popular chassis in the racing world so they're easy to get and easy to get parts for. The Sprint 2 D from HPI and Tamiya's old battle horse, the TT01 are about neck and neck. It really just depends on who you ask on that one. If you do go with the TT01, get the one with the D and the end of it (TT01-D). I'm sure you can figure out what the "D" stands for. The advantage to the TT01 is that it cost more to feed a hungry kid in Somalia than it does to own one of these cars. Matter of fact, you should just buy two just for the h3ll of it. And, they perform pretty well. The quality is ok and the room for improvement is vast, but at their going price, you can LITERALLY buy one on a McDonald's dollar menu budget. The Sprint 2 isn't much of stretch of the wallet either. It's like the difference between buying 15inch rim from Walmart and a 16inch rim from Walmart. Niether are expensive, and they both will work for what you need them for...and, and a fraction of the cost. Since everyone is recommending the TT01 as a "better car", might I suggest Tyco's RC DRIFT KINGS. naw, I'm kidding. Don't buy those. If you're on a budget, TT01 or Sprint2 is what you should look into. If you got some money to spend and want a better car, step up to the MR4TC or TAO3F. If you wanna buy American and support the global war on terror, buy the Team Losi.
