Status: offline 		In my SM F-15 the air bottles were alongside the pipe, and I never had a problem with that.
If the temperature rises 30-40 degrees back there, that's no more than the sun will heat the
inside of the plane on a summer day. I only use 55-60 psi in my planes and will have a lot of
margin - even so, I will place a thin steel plate under the large bottle just to be on the safe side.

Status: online 		I will be testing my new 12FGA in my new E-Flight Taylorcraft tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. If all is well, this receiver will go into my Panther. I'll get some final install photos of the receiver when I'm done.

I tested my new 12 FGA and also new E-Flight Taylorcraft today.

I performed a range check using the range check function on the transmitter. This is supposed to limit the TX power and simulate long distances under normal power. I went out to about 150 feet and had total control. I even turned my back to the aircraft and still had total control. You are not supposed to have control in this configuration but I did. Next I test flew the T-Craft. What a sweet bird. The model needed zero trim!!! It does it all….every aerobatic maneuver you can think of. Well I put on 4 flights at three different locations. Each flight included a range test where I climbed up to aprox 600 feet or higher and out at least that far. I could barley see the airplane I was so high and far. Total rock solid control. Each of my selected test sites featured different obstacles. At one site I flew behind a baseball backstop that was made of metal fence and extended upward of 30 feet. I also flew behind trees and over power lines and even between a brick building and a large roll off dumpster. Rock solid everywhere every time. I will continue to test fly this radio in every horrible environment I can find then put it into my Panther. I will then install the next new Receiver and repeat until all my jets have the new FASST on board. The pictures show how I have the receiver mounted. I never considered that I have the antenna’s mounted right on top of the metal pushrods but it was obviously not a problem. I can say that I currently have 100% confidence in this system. I will keep you updated as my testing continues.

Are you using a powerbox in your Panther? I understand that you are using the 3050 in all surfaces. These should be 7, right? Plus the standars for the air valves.

How many Amps. can the Fasst handle?

I use two 6V 1950 Mah Nimh packs and two HD switches. Each switch is plugged into a different port in the RX. No regulator. Less is more for me.....in my opinion any additional gadgets like matchboxes and powerboxes and regulators are another link in the chain of parts to fail.

I get my batteries from Hangtime hobbies. There is a tremendous amount of GOOD info on their site. My Nimh packs are only 4 Ohms impedance per cell so each pack can deliver 40 amps!! Running them in parallel like I do gives me nearly 4000 Mah capacity and 80 amps of current. Plenty for high servo count and high tork digital setups. I use these same packs and configuration in all my jets.

You will see many opinions on what setup is best so I would say to do lots of research and formulate your own opinion.

Status: online 		I completed the final installation of my receiver in the Panther today. I routed some wires a bit different to clean things up and made a neat little mount for my antennas. It is made from balsa and Dubro antenna tube that I cut to shape and then heated with a heat gun to produce the curve This puts the antennas at an optimum position in the jet. Here are a few shots of the fully assembled Panther with everything hanging. I like the shot of the business end. She is all waxed up and ready to go...............Wagner don't forget my new retracts and springs
