If you are talking about a 1.60 glow engine aircraft, most of those are of the size and weight that will require a good and lightweight 40-50cc gas engine to power it appropriately. I think you would be disappointed in the performance with a 26cc, unless this is for very general sport flying, no strong IMAC or 3D ability.

Do a search for GR Pro 50 or LS Pro 50.

Simlar engines and similar performance. 22x8 Xoar 6200rpms. If thats all the power you need then jump. If you want typical 50cc performance of 22x8 Xoar 7000+ then buy a good 50.

Think Kia vs. ? Some people are happy driving around a Kia. others perfer to spend a bit more money and get a GM / Ford / Chrysler / etc.

There is lots of talk about this engine.. do a search on it, lspro 26, gr pro 26... You will find mixed results, but the common theme will be you get what you pay for.

I disagree ...with you get what you pay for. In this hobby MOST all this RC equipment is way to high priced. For example...you can buy a complete running engine for the just above the price of a carb to fit it. There are many other items that the price is just ridiculous! Capt,n

sure you can... but that engine doesn't put out half the power of a real engine does.

These engines turn an 18x6 at maybe 7700.... others turn that prop at 8700+ on stock mufflers.

It's very rare to see a cheap engine outshine a more expensive engine. You can talk about the DL-50 and sure for the money it's a decent engine. However I would spend $150 more and buy a better engine. They are what they are... and that's pushing the bounderies of this rule. However I have seen several run at Huckfest, and 1 at my club. They don't transition as well as some of the more exspensive engines out there, the muffler breaks and you have to buy a real muffler for it.. so there's another $70 + shipping. So really the engine is at least $485 all said and done... It's not that much cheaper in the long run.

I have been told by a certain individual, who claims to be in the know .... That absolutely under NO circumstances will United Hobby ever have anymore SV engines. This person guaranteed me this ... so its been almost like a game for me, as I go the UH everyday a look to see if the backordered SV engines are ever going to be filled? If they never get the backorders filled, and they never take anymore new orders I will have complete confidence in everything else this person tells me.

Hi Guys,
I have had a change of heart here, I used to think that Grpro motors are Grpro, and that’s it......meaning that SV, HH, Titan and all the others that look the same are actually copies.
It was a fact that the GRpro motors had GRpro stamped in to the crank casting. Well, no more. After receiving some of these motors some days ago I had a good look at them, there is no stamp. This got me thinking and I asked the manufacturer about this. He replied......He would no longer send motors out with his stamp on them, as there are too many people wanting to sell the motors under a different brand name. I have also negotiated with the factory to Import these motors solely into South Africa.....this was assured
Today I am contacted by one of the guys that I flew to the Beijing Model show with and he happily tells me that his shipment of Grpro motors have arrived????? That was not the deal, was it?
If you ask me, I have lost all respect to this manufaturer, he sells his motors to who ever wants them, cutting his own pricing. They are them Branded as "SV" , "HH" or whatever you want it to be.... If you ask me, I am doing business with this guy again. These Motors are like flies on a heap of crap, they keep on popping up under different names and places.
Soon, I think they will disappear of the market again
My 0.02

How long did it take you to get it? They've been showing out-of-stock for about 3 weeks now, and show a "mid to late November" estimate to be resotcked. It will still be interesting to see if they get anymore, because I was told their supply chain for SV engines was cut off because of the ultra low prices they were selling at.

Hi Jonney,
The motor that I have run, ran very well, on the groun and in the air. I acctually recomend it. The people that are buying them are not making a bad deal. There might be a problem here or there, but then there is with everything.
The ethics of the manufaturer is at question here.
My findings on the 26 you can read here.

Looks can be deceiving. Check out the topic on this link. So who really is making these engines then?
