I read the same thing and it was from Jonney, but has said he advanced his. I gues I'll try one way first and if that does not work I'll go the other way.

I agree that the metal will settle down, but you definently need to add flat and lock washers to the mix, what were they thinking ? Yep, counterclockwise, looking at it from the front, or move it as far as the slots will allow, in the direction of rotation. I may elongate the slots and play more later, but the miss is gone now. On mine, we had to lean the bottom and fatten the top a little, but she runs purrfect !

Im curious to know if anyone has been breaking in their engines before using them. We just started using this one from the get go without any breakin, and even accidentally ran it lean a little bit, but no problem so far, and it runs wonderfully now. Im running 32:1 synthetic blend from the mower shop now, but will be switching to full synthetic @ 100:1 as Brison recomends for Gregs 50cc. If it's good enough for Brison, it must be good for the SV26 as well we decided. A quart is like $5.00, and you use 3 oz's per gallon according to Greg. We'll be installing the longer 5mm bolts with flat and lock washers today, and once we can get the muffler to stay tight for a few days straight, we will install the cowl. I think I want to upgrade the ign battery to a 2000ma 6 volt NiMH like I have for the receiver, I found the 700ma NiCad ign battery at 70%, while the receivers NiMH battery was still at 100%. Everything else has been perfect so far, and I think my smaller nitro planes will be doing alot of hanging around from now on

i've been playing with mine on the test stand. i tried the 644 with no luck. i tried it with a primer bulb and without. took the filter out checked my gap on the plug(which was a problem with a friends). i did everything suggested from everyone i asked. no luck. so i put the 644 carb back to stock and i got it to run. but it didn't run as good as the stock carb. so for now i have a spare 644 carb. i'm curiouse if jstanton can make it work. i sure hope so. how far from cherokee, n.c. is millington? you might be interested in one of our fly ins we have every year.

3 oz per gallon is about 43:1

100.1 would be 1.28 oz

I have not been able to get my 644 to work right either. I will still stay with it until I figure it out. It looks like the pulse line from the case of the engine is not providing a strong enough pulse to get the pump in the 644 to work. I should work so I will ask around with some of my gasser friends that know a lot more about engines than I do. Right now I put the WT-731 back on and I am getting 8100RPM with a APC 16x8 prop.

I guess i'll wind up stickin to the 18x6 myself. It does sound about right, up there, it's not over or under reving. I guess im just used to how quickly my smaller planes get out of the hole from a dead stop. This Stearman needs to get rolling... Hmmm... maybe a 50 would snap it up. lol

Well, I finished making my choke. I just hacked up one off of an old weedeater, and put an easy connector on it. I'll put wheel collars on the rod to limit the throws, and there will be a spring to pull and hold it open should vibration try to close it.

my g202 is almost ready, it needs only 1 day to be ready to flight. as soon as weather will get better, I'll take it to the field. it needs to finish ffront parts of ailerons and finishing of the main landing gear, also needs canopy, but i'll make it from foem for first test flights
the planes is 1.8meter wingspan, weight is 4.3kg and wigloading is 71g/dm2, but I think it would need some extra tail weight, but not too much, cause I have moved one 6v and one 4.8v as far back as I could.

has anybody tryed to measure thrust or tach the engine with cheap CHERY prop from unitedhobbies? I have some of them, they were too cheap and wanna test them. even 5.5kg of thrust will be enought for me, I hope I'll get it

Very nice looking Giles-202.

I have been try to find a larger carb that will work on the engine and I tried an Walbro WT-324 that I got off of a 40cc chain saw. This carb would not even pull in any fuel to start. So maybe there is something wrong with it. I'll have to work on it. I have been running my engine every chance I can. I have almost 1 1/2 gallons of fuel thru it so far and it seems like it is staring to lossen up some. With a APC 16x8 prop I am getting 8200RPM and with a APC 18x6w I am getting 7500 RPM. That's over 14lbs of thrust for this little engine. Not bad for the money spent. My plane will weigh in at 12.5lbs so the little extra thrust will be OK with me.

I remembered to check my rpm today while we were out flying. With the Master Airscrew 16x8, it turns 7900 to 8100. We found that the Traxxas 2055 servo I put on my throttle is glitching, so Im installing a newer Futaba servo tonight. The plane fly's great, and now that i've taken off and landed it a couple of times, the size doesn't freak me out anymore. I find that it's basically just easier to fly than my 40 size stuff, and will fly forever on a tank of gas. I'd say about 30 minutes on 16 oz's at least. It always seems to have about 1/2 tank left at the end of the night after maybe 20 minutes of combined time in the air, I love it !
