I have an HSC-5955TG servo that I’m using for a pull-pull rudder servo in a 28% extra 300. Yesterday I was doing a 1/2 throttle fly-by about 60 feet up when the rudder went full left stop locked for a moment then went to neutral. I managed to recover without incident. My first thought was that I got hit, so I brought it down and as I touched down I noticed that I had no rudder control at all. After checking it out in the pits I could not find any cause that would completely kill the rudder servo. I checked all connections and the battery was fine with all other surfaces working fine. Tomorrow I will remove the servo and check it with my programmer. At this point there is no response. Have any of you had this happen with any of your servos? The servo is a year old but due to health problems I only have about 15 flights on the servo/plane. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the rudder channel of the receiver went bad, I still need to check that. If the programmer test doesn’t turn up anything I'll be sending it in to Hitec for a check up.
PS any suggestions where I can get a fast replacement so I can get in the air by next weekend without it costing an arm & a leg?

Thanks Decoy, I ordered one today and should have it by Friday. I checked out the faulty 5955 and found it to be completely unresponsive using my programmer. I also checked the receiver with another servo and it seems to be functioning correctly. I'll send the servo to hitec and see if they can determine what happened.
