ORIGINAL: Synthetic Thanks CB, I have just been out working on the Elan and I too had problems with the tube and the anti-rotation pins. One of the wooden blocks that hold the "hidden nut" that the anti-rotation pins screw into also came loose inside the fuse and will have to be re-glued back in. I think I will Hysol all them since the one came loose. I have Jet 1A's coming for mine and I really don't want to grind the retracts down to fit the rails and I also really don't want to dig into the Elan fuse. I am hoping that the Jet 1A's will drop right in on the rails since they are being made special to fit the Elan. Don I understand where your coming from on the grinding issue....I don't like to do it either. It was either this way, or wait and shell out the bucks for the Jet IA's. As it turned out, the 630's ended up fitting pretty nice. Haven't exactly decided what I'm going to do for struts just yet.
