Picked this ARF up for $400 from a hobby shop going out of business. Read this entire thread with no mention of the OS91 being used. Will they fit on these small firewalls? I have the H9 B25 running electric and its a pain to wait for battery charging and everyone at the field gives me a hard time about a stealth B25. Guess I'll throw some 4 strokes on the TopFlight. Thanks, Jerry.

Hi Jerry.

I think the reason nobody has mentioned .91 four-strokes is because the recommended range is up to .70 four-strokes. Some are using the new O.S. .81s though.

Sounds like you got a fabulous deal though!

Tim

100psi should be plenty if your gear/doors are all smoothly moving. I put 120psi in my large tank and get 8-10 cycles easy.

The other day I had about 60# in my Wing B-25 Robarts and got about three cycles. As soon as I get the rest of her done then I will try about 100 to 120# of pressure and see how may cycles I get then. So far it will hold pressure for about a day without cycling them but once. Also I plan on using a couple of the SK 70 two strokers.

www.warbirdsoverdenver.com formerly WOTRockies.

Thanks for asking Lt.!!

TT I balanced mine according to the instruction manual...seems to be pretty much right on. I may try a flight with CG moved aft a little to see if that'll help slow her down a bit.

It looks like I may not have the time now to finish the B-25. Instead of letting it sit around and collect dust for a while, I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in buying the plane for what I have in it. I have of course the plane, retracts, All. main wheels, brakes, two OS 70II, onboard glow, engine sync. I could leave the servos, but that would be up to you. Just wondering if anyone is interested.

The TF build manual lists a series of servo extensions for the plane and when you check the recommended Hobbico part numbers they are all made with 20 gauge wire vs 22 gauge. Is the 20 gauge recommendation simply because Hobbico does not offer 22 ga or do you think it is necessary? The 20 gauge really limits the number of suppliers - I use a bunch of Hobbico equipment but, I usually purchase my extensions elsewhere. Any experience or advice is welcome. Thanks

Howard

I remember somewhere in this thread, someone posted a link to a website to buy replacement pilots for the "pancake" guys that came with this ARF. Can someone please post that again, or any links to someplace where I can get a couple of decent 1/9 scale WWII pilot torsos. Appreciated very much.

Here's a link to the Century Jet site. Go to the "Military Pilots" section...the 1/9th scale are at the bottom of the page. Their pilots are molded resin, not real scale and heavy as can be. I hollowed out every bit I could to save weight and then painted them up. They seem expensive to me for what you get but they're the cheapest full body pilots I could find. Another possible solution (and much cheaper)is the H9 latex bust and then tinker together the bottom half. If you can find anything better I'm sure all of us would love to know!!

I've only got a pic of them installed, as well as one of the H9 figures in the nose and in the tail. Hope this helps!

Hi fytrjok

Thanks a lot for your pictures. Tell me something: the H9 pilot is the same of H9 Sopwith Camel? Did you cut it?

Regards

Marlon
