Yes this can drive you nuts. No the surfaces are not warped. I'm using the Hanger 9 digital incidence meter. What do you think?

Give AW a call... I had the same issue with mine and they ended up having to replace an elevator half. They said when they pulled the covering off of my left side it looked like it was curling up like a fingernail.

Give them a call, they'll take care of you. I had a new stab within a week and a half.

I'm waiting for my 75cc Extra to arrive and am "thinking" about a BME100/102. My impression is that the power level of a BME 102 is similar to a DA85, weight is only a few ounces more. I've seen those commonly used in 1/3 scale stuff, this size. I have DA's and like them, but would prefer to wait on an 85 until DA finishes sorting out the teething problems. A stock ZDZ80RV (not a Super) is another option besides the BME. Will a BME100/102 fit? Is a ZDZ80RV enough power?

I'd welcome any thoughts on these 2 engine options. I don't fly aggressive 3D (because I am not capable of it!).

If someone could measure their cowl width where the spark plugs on a twin would likely hit, I'd appreciate it.

Never mind....I've "conformed" and just purchased a DA85.

QUESTION - What amount of drop is required for use with a canister? 25mm or 50mm?

They say 50, but that didn't work for me. I am using a 25mm solid now without issues.

Good choice, and with that engine and this plane, Joe Hunt says it's "over powered" a good thing to have...

I fly this plane with the 85 up at altitude and it is a rocket. You will be happy with it. Just watch out for the old farts with sensitive hearing. They can't take the sound of the awesome power it makes.

Ah, great... That's only 95% of the club membership. No worries, I always show up just as they're leaving to get the senior noon specials at "Lenny's"

NO offense to our seniors, nothing but respect, they've earned it!!!

lol, funny stuff! Our old farts are just the opposite, they like to hit McDonald's for breakfast, read the paper, make a list of what they can complain about then show up early afternoon.

But yes, like Rod said, no offense to the nice old farts out there!

I have the DA85 in mine and it has plenty of power for this plane. I can't imagine needing more, or what I would do with it. It has great vertical.

Well, with the canister is should be reasonably quiet. Not too quiet, I hope (grin)

That's true. I have heard it on a can and it is a bit quieter.

Hi , I have just ordered a Aeroworks 260 QB and I will be installing a DA85 and using a JR9303 2.4 GHZ with 8711's all over with the exceptions of the choke and throttle ... Does anyone already have this same set-up that could email me the program for the radio ? I am new to the 9303 and get very frustrated during the proramming process ... Any help would be appreciated and compensated if necessary 8-) Thanks Dennis

Dennis,

Your request for the radio setup for this plane CAN be done. But, you really need to learn, and get to know all of your radio's functions, and all menu's. It's an awesome radio, with all the bells and whistles. It MAY seem intimidating at first, but once you go through it a few times, its a breeze...
