VG: From your comments about the Stanley block plane, think I see a former or current rough/finish carpenter. Spent a few years at it as a kid. The razor plane for me is a wonderful tool that you deveop related skills with and has the advantage of precise depth adjustment. Better than sandpaper in a lot of cases Would not supprise me to find you as good with yours as I am with mine. It all seams to come down to the skill you develop with a tool. I did finish work with the small skill saw for years, other guys thought me nuts, but if your finish product is as good or better, how you get there usually does not matter. To me, someone who cant lay monocoat or ultracoat on a foam wing equal to a heavier paint job just does not have the needed skills. Conversely, his painted wing probably would be half as heavy as mine. Am honestly enjoying your build and some methods such as the wing press. Your control with the press is superior over bagging in my view, but we'r back to skills again. Keep up the outstanding work, interesting who's watching.
