My exceed ultra wont shift into second gear, Any ideas why it wont shift?

you may need to adjust the shifter, you turn the grub screw counterclockwise to make it shift at lower rpms and clockwise for higher rpms

you will see if in front of the plastic spur gears, there is a silver disk, thats the shifter. you may need to turn the wheels to see the grub screws, there are 2 of them, one holds the shifter on the shaft and one adjusts the shift time, the one that is tight holds it on the shaft and dont loosen that one, you loosen the other one.

could it be anything else i re adjusted that screw and it still wont hit 2nd gear

you may just need to replace it, they are know to go bad or be bad out of the box

is there any kind of spring that goes with the grub screw for the tranny

if you mean the 2 speed shifter then yes, there is a ball, then a spring then the grub screw.
