Hi
I just got my hummingbird. Not bad for the prise!
I have one problem tho. Just after take off once i have added so much power the whole heli starts to shake vilontly and i have to land!
When i hold the heli in my hand and add power once the heli starts shaking i notice the pico boards LED turns Red!. If i then lower the throttel it will turn green again?

Can any one tell me why this is happening and how can i fix it?

Sos about my spelling!

Many Thanks
Craig Jones

cjcraigj; what you see with the picoboard is normal when full throtle is achived the led will turn red and anything off of full will result in a green light.

now as for the shake this is also normal it is due to the ground effect and the main rotor wash backing up from the ground this should go away after you are a foot or so off the ground

have fun

(what goes up must come down) hover up

At what stick position on the tx should the pico LED turn red? My vibrations seem pritty major! it makes the heli start spining and going all over the place. This seems to happen once the heli has reached 2-3ft of the ground! I cant get it any higher because i keep losing control when it starts shakeing!

I have set my tx so at 100% stick the pico board LED just starts to turn red. This is porbaly only giving me 75% throttel or so but atleast it lets me get up to head highet or so!

If any one has any more ideas or can help me with the Q above please help

Many Thanks
Craig Jones

I believe that it will only turn red at full

also do you have training gear on this heli if so I have seen them cause a harmonic shake and that one is hard to stop i have seen it go away with the removal of the training gear

good luck

Hi
Thanks alot
the proble with the vibration was the Training gear i built.
Iset up my tx ATV to the point where the vibrations just started so i could practice hovering 1meter off the ground. After 3 bat packs i removed it and set my Throttel ATV back to 100% and the vibrations were gone. I am know hovering 5-7ft high in a steady hover.
I would like to say this is a excellent little heli. I am no expert (my 1st heli!) but the heli does not get pushed around by ground effects much (at all) and it is so easy to fly.

I have fliped it on its side 10+ times know and have had no damage (a few scratches on the blades!). I flew it into a wall at high speed and gess what (No Damage!)

The only damage so far is the tail fin snaped off. (it is very close to the ground and if you land slightly tail down it will be the first thing to hit the ground).
100% to Century Helis!

Thanks Again!
