The differences in this Suk vs the older H9 SU-31 are too numerous to list. The list of common parts is much shorter.

1) Cowl

Thats it.

The Hangar 9 on the cowl is a sticker that isnt factory applied. Its supplied on a decal sheet.

Mike, I have a 3w 75ius currently not attached to anything. How do you think It would perform it the su-26mm sukhoi? I would prefer the DA but this what I have for now.

Mike you mention the cowl is the same as the SU-31. I broke my gear on a hard landing. Will the new SU-26 gear fit the old Sukhoi?

I have over 150 flights on the SU-31 and love it. I am sure with the lighter wing loading this will be a winner to. Keep up the great work.

Mike,

For the MTW cannister, is it internal like the small 27% extra or external? Any pictures of the cannister installation?

Any updates on more videos, pictures, or manual online?

i have a zdz80 without a home, had it on a comp arf at 22.5lbs and was plenty of power with a 26-8 cf prop, anyway lost the plane , i have been looking at the sd33% yak and then i saw this baby, anyone care to speculate which may be a better 3d platform? specs are similar with this sukoi being a tad longer and a bit more wing area, both good things, just would like to hear some opinions, i am planing to get one or the other....any more vids or pics of this other than whats on horizon site???

Pipe is internal. Similar to the 27% 260. 1 x 8711 on rudder is plenty. No blowback at any speed.

Mike,

I've seen two posts on RCU asking your opinion on how the 3W 75i would perform in this airplane and you haven't answered either. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Les

Hi Mike, A friend an I have just decided to go for your new SU-26 and will make the order from Horizon next week. The decision was largely based on how great my Extra 260 is that I got a couple of months ago.

I have a question for you though... how would the SU-26 fare with the DA-100? would the wing loading go through the roof? would the performance deteriorate? could we fit the Da-100 into the cowl?

The spark caps would poke through the cowl. It would be heavier but whatever the diff is in the 100 vs the 85. More power than the 85 isnt needed unless your flying at like 12000 feet though

Thanks Mike. we're now sold on the DA-85. want to keep the wing loading downas much as possible. What would you recommend for props to use for arresti aerobatics and / or 3D?

Hey Mike, I have the new Su-26MM on order and I'm trying to get all of the equipment in before it arrives.
I'll be using the DA85 with the MTW 110 Canister but no one at Horizon could tell me which Header to buy. Can you advise on the Header? Also, is the DA 85 mounted inverted on this plane?
Thanks for the info.
