Any news as to when the release date of this baby will be? It seems to be moving back a month every time I look on Horizon's site.
Any idea on the date Mike?

this is my plan
Hacker A100 motor 4lb. (7.5hp )
27x12 prop
4lb. lipo batterys (10s 8000mHa)
4 JR8611
1 JR8711
AR7000
2 A123 6v.rx batt
Im hoping for 200 watts per lb.
Thanks

Weight with the DA-85 with an MTW 110 canister exhaust and comparable radio equipment/batts is approx 21.75lbs.

Well I for one have a good old 3W 80Xi sitting here with no home.

And ya know what, it will pull that plane at 22lbs like a big foamie

I am also a little worried about my preorder. I hope there is no production problem for the suckoi. Hope to get mine this spring.

Without getting into a slinging match, whats the difference between this plane and the Wild Hare 35% Sukhoi of the same look?

IMO
The wild hare is larger and a little heavier. It was meant as a plane that can use the 80cc through the 115 cc motors

The hangar 9 is purpose built for the Da 85 and other 80cc engines. It is a really good sized plane but still really light for the power of the DA85.

You could put a number on it and call the Wild hare a 35% @~25 pounds and the hangar 9 a 33%@~22pounds Its not fair to compare the 2 planes since they are in different size classes.

id like to hear what you think comparing this plane to the 33%sd yak, the specs are similar with the sukoi being a tad longer and wider with a smidge more wing area, i had my name on the list for the yak, says they are in stock but they havnet called me so i am not locked in for sure, i have a zdz80 without a home and narrowed it down to these 2 planes, i fly mainly 3d type stuff at the moment but have recently wanted to get in to the imac sequence, the sukoi seems to me like it may be more sleek in the air and may make for a better pattern flyer than a yak, any comments? everybody with a yak and an extra for example say the yak is better for 3d only and the extra does imac and 3d well, i am curious if the sukoi may fill the need for me in both areas...

I only have seen the SD yak on line as well as the sukoi so these opinions are based on that.

I like this sukoi over the SD based on just the control horns the sd has the
