ok....easy question, axial .28 or axial .32?

I'm looking at both, and have heard good on the .28, but nothing on the .32....any reviews?

It depends. Both engines have a lot of torque, but lack on top end, especially the .32. So if you want any decent speeds, you will have to gear it up. Personally if I had the money for an Axial .32, I would forget about it and buy myself an Picco/LRP .28 or STS .30

if you got the money for axial .32 then go for a picco .28

if you only got the money for the axial .28 go wit ha mach 427

the picco walks all over the axial

and the mach may be less in numbers but can really make a savage haul a$$

Yep^^ For the money there are waaay better choices than the Axial .32, but for $110 the Axial .28 is tough to beat **for the price**

Order online!!!!! You are getting ripped off on all the engines listed!! Ebay: Axial .28: $110 shipped, Axial .32: $170 shipped, and Surefire .32 is the EXACT same engine as the Axial .32! Just get a Picco .28 man!

ok, turned out I could have picked from the following
Axial .28 (149.99)
Axial .32 (149.99)
Racer's Edge .32 (179.99)
(I think it was a 457) .28 (149.99)
OS .30 (349.99)

the only thing that almost sold the Racer's edge .32 was the fact that it came with the rotostart and pull start kits, and the axials were pull only, as was the one don't totally remember the name of, and the OS was totally bare.

given prices and choices, I went with the axial .28 because the bolt pattern for the pull was the same size as the HPI so I guessed that I can pull the rotostart off of my .25 and mount on it....(please tell me I was right)

if i'm correct the axial is the same as the k4.6.
which has the internal owb and a 4.5mm hex for the pullstart/rotounit.
the .25 is the same as the f4.1 and f4.6 which use the external owb and a hex of 5.5mm.
so your stuck buying a roto/pull start for the axial.

I understand I could have gone cheaper online....but, you missed the "I want it today" factor. Besides, I feel obligated to take at least SOME of my business to the lhs since they'll help me with the truck first hand, and ebay won't

right on the nose, the .25 roto will not work on the axial, i need the k4.6 or axial roto start for the engine.

gah! if I'd have known (or if the jackass at the shop would have known) that the S25 wasn't the same as the axial I'd have gotten the .32 that had a rotostart with it! oh well, hopefully I can find the kit on ebay or someplace like that CHEAP...I'm already spending more than I'd intended on this right away....

ok, please tell me that there's two different standards which HP is measured on these engines cause the dyno results I just saw on the axial .28 said it was 1.6HP to the S25's 2.5HP.....I thought the axial was more powerful??

Never believe company's HP claims, the're always inflated. I bet the axial HP is true but 2.5 HP for a .25? No way.
