Status: offline 		I'm new to trying 3D and maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but is there a video or series of them that show what each 3D maneuver looks like, and shows the radio inputs to do it? The videos I've seen the just do a long routine and I've got no idea what I'm watching.

Status: offline 		What is the interest level in me putting together an instructional video? I look at things the way the pilot looks at it- inputs and why they are put in, plus tricks on airplane setup.

Status: offline 		Don, I think there would be a HUGE interest. Especially 3D specific (appearing to be the more popular departure/progression from "sport flying" .

But, hey . . don't ask me, I'm only a Marketing Manager . . (sarcasm) . .

Don, I have heard that you already do one that is Pattern oriented. Is this correct? I would be interested in THAT (having a Pattern preference )

I saw you Pattern video was available, but for 35 years I'd say " I'm going to learn to fly pattern", I'd start to practice and after 5 minutes I'd just go back to sport flying, and that was after BUILDING a Super Kaos, then a Drity Bridy to do it. 3D is different, I love doing this stuff, after a year of playing around it's more interesting than ever.

Airplane setup,
Tx setup to include mix
Tricks for 3D trim setups
Stages to learning 3D.... basic 3D elements and building...
Demonstrating in flight.
IMAC stuff to boot, for example snap setups, airplane trim and maneuver builds (i.e., building blocks).

Let me know if these topics are of interest to you...or other suggestions of topics you would like me to cover.

Status: offline 		We are in the final stages of editing, like at the 8 1/2 month point with labor pains beginning...

This will be very technical, very detailed classroom style high quality video with a lot of tips and instructional content.
The context is precision aerobatics with IMAC as the focus to include detailed aircraft setup, trimming, building maneuvers, 3D portion with basic elements talked through on the bench, then real time instruction at the field. Its a different style of instruction from most other videos. The intent is to give the feeling that I'm there next to you at the field talking you through the maneuvers.

Some highlights:
Bench testing of servos and control surfaces for wear, control setups for optimizing sequence flying as well as 3D.
How to properly trim through the pyramid method. When do you trim aileron differential, thrust, all mixing types known and used for the most precise aircraft setup.
Talking though the effects of cross wind on the airframe from the aerodynamic standpoint and trimming the airplane properly at all airspeeds.
How to do killer snap rolls by working with the aerodynamic properties of the airframe.
Basics of 3D flying- the building blocks to get you going. How trim in 3D differs than in regular sequence trim.
How do learn an unknown (in 15 minutes or less).
"Easy" rolling harriers
How to start an engine and listening for correct needle valve settings.

Thats all I can remember for now. How does this sound? It will likely be a 2 DVD set.

Status: offline 		The DVDs are designed for entry level- those who want to set up their plane or contemplating IMAC type flying. However there are also 3D maneuvers and fairly complex topics such as preparing unlimited unknowns and sequences as well.
