Are there any plans on doing an expert review of the volcano?

yeah, i would say the rustler and volcano have the same top speed around 35mph, i know traxxas says like 50mph on the nitro rustler but i own one and i dont see it happening.

Well I've seen videos and it seems a lot faster than 35. Is your jato the same?

Maybe there is something wrong with your rustler. The jato is similar to the rustler except it's two speed. And they're rated at 5MPH apart?

OH. The jato is a 3.3......I thought it was a 2.5. In that case....what speed could I get from an OS .18 CV-RX in a volcano?

i have a 2.5r ported and polished in the jato, its crazy fast. as far as the os, it maybe a little faster like 38-40 mph but your acceleration would be much better than stock.

Actually the 2.5R is rated at 55 and the 3.3 is 65.

Yup

Back to the Volcano and the Monsoon. I read that the exaust pipe on the monsoon touches the fuel tank. Is that how it is out of the box? No big deal.

Even though the monsoon is so much better......that price differnece seems so much more......like what could I get in addition to the volcano.......another 100 in parts and hop ups. I think the monsoon might actully be too big for my track. I built it and it's not that wide or big.

bro, your really fussing over this, i mean really badly, lol. start with the volcano, its smaller and less intemedating. When you feel you up to a faster, larger nitro, get the avalance or monsoon. I wouldnt really suggest starting off with a 1/8 powerhouse like the monsoon or avalanche for your first nitro.

I know but I cannot buy many cars. Would the hurricane be any better.

i am not saying but them all now, start off with the volcano, use it, learn how a nitro works, tuning, and the ins and the outs, then when your ready, jump to the avalanche or monsoon, sell the volcano and put the $ twards the larger one, if you keep it in good shape you can get some decent $ for it.
