These are for Corsairs, but maybe some tips that will help you:

Pappy883 has for his Brian Taylor Corsair. He'll probably reply here too.
Here's some videos from him:

Also, Buz Hampton with Oregon Scale Aviation for his Corsair:

Here is Buz's site regarding the "Wing Man": http://home.comcast.net/~rich2001/osa/WINGMAN.html

He brought his Corsair to our club and this mechanism was amazing.

I've bought it and agree - great product. He's great at supporting his customers too. I had a suggestion for the WingMan and he paid shipping both ways and reprogrammed it for free.

He has other items too.

Bearcat Folding wings would be MUCH easier than a Corsair's. The full scale version had manually folding wings . All you need to do is come up with a set of hinges and locking mechanism. The hinges would only have to support the lift generated by the wing tips, not the whole outer panel like the Corsair.
All in all, WAY easier task

That is AWESOME!!!
The bearcat should be much easier.
Just doing the wingtips should be a breeze compared to that Corsair! Thanks Guys!!!

The early models had safety wingtips that would explode if the plane experienced high G-loads preventing greater damage. That would be something to model. Be careful how you attach and lock your wing tips.

Folding wings are really worth the extra building effort needed.
Here is a video from the Vallentuna Shootout in Sweden earlier this summer.
The Corsair is Norwegian and powered by a Seidel 400 radial engine.
