Full of a good idea!!!! Pulled mine off this weekend, and it is like it is turbocharged! Jumps right up, flits around like a dragonfly.

On a sadder note, I was flying in my back yard - to keep the tail from catching in the grass I put down a 3' square 1/4" piece of plywood as a launch pad. Well, I had been lifting off and flying around, then coming back to land on the platform. Around the 15th time, I missed and landed by it instead of on it. Decided to lift off and land on it, but the skid caught in the grass and tipped it over - blade hit the side of the plywood - snapped a blade grip clean off, and broke a ball on the flybar carrier - LHS won't get any in until maybe Thurs. so I ordered one from an eBay store. IT probably won't be in until Thurs or Fri!!!

Also took out my plastic blade - real nice gotch in it (it might could be used to open beer bottles!) I also ordered 2 more yellow pairs from HeliDirect.

BTW, HeliDirect's Axe parts have almost dwindled to 1/3 of what they had before - anyone know what's going on??

Ahhh, Stop whinning ! It did fly better, didn't it? ! Much faster response, no funny wiggles from the training gear reacting to the downwash. I did the same thing you did, take-off from 3x3 plywood landing pad, lauched AXE into orbit at 30-50ft, hovered above my head , went to land on the pad (fast approach, steep decent, missed flair), bounced off pad & stuck tail into soft ground/tall grass, pushed forward on cyclic to "un-stick tail," and flipped AXE on it's head ! Fastest inverted flight yet, took out both blade grips, tail blade, tweaked flybar .
Throw in some replacement parts & repeat process...
Have thought of creating my own "training stand" to keep the little buzzard at bay, during the limited "training time," I get during these darker eariler times.

I tried it with the training gear and got no where, not even a 30 second stable hover! I finally took the gear off and was hovering the whole pack right away. To me training gear just makes it harder.

Oh - the HeliDirect issue was I was looking at the UPGRADE section, not the heli parts section! Dumb me!
