I just dont think KMB's are all that. I've explained my view on this several times(in this thread even), every time getting more condensed. Really theyre both cheaply made, basically the same design and I just dont get how anyone can say there's a difference in thrust. Unless you've got something to back such a statement with, it's utter bs. The impellers are almost identical, other than the diameter. The only thing I like about the KMB drives over the Graupner is the bearing on the motor side and the built in motor mount. However, when I'm throwing 16cells of power through a 700sc motor, I doubt that bearing does much. I just did a cost comparison. If you live in the states, it will cost you roughly $123 US to get a 28mm KMB drive. A graupner unit(29mm) will run you just about half that $65. You could buy two graupner drives for the price of a KMB. Add to this the ability to replace a Graupner impelller and I cant see one valid reason to buy a KMB drive..... I could go further but I've already said it before. I feel the statement made earlier was unfounded and ignorant.
