I was wondering if there was any word on when/if A123 is going to release smaller cells for 1/18th cars.
I heard they would come out sometime in October, and am eagerly awaiting them.

Same question here. I am looking at apogee packs right now, but if A123 is going to bring out some stuff, would just do that.

Hey All,

I have attached some photos if the I-Hobby Expo show that we attended last weekend. This should answer your questions.

Brian, are the batteries the same capacity as the originals? My 1 year old 1s1p packs still impresses people at the drag track.

Hey, awesome!! Snellemin, I think they are 1100 mAh cells so the "stick pack" in the left pictures is a 2200 mAh pack. I am curious how performance is compared to the M1 cells. Will 4 of these new cells in a 2s2p configuration make more, less, or the same power as a 2s1p pack of M1 cells?

It appears that these new packs will use the same Hypersonic charger as the current packs? Or is there something different to enable proper balancing for the new packs?

Looks great.
One more question, when/where can we buy them?

I am looking for a pack in similar dimensions to a 4S 6000mah Maxamps lipo for my 1/8 scale conversion. If you guys have it, give me a holler!

Bump. Anyword for vehicles other than the Mini-T? I finally got a charger that can do A123 (Tp-610C) Maybe ones around 33mmX70mm as this will fit many more vehicles on the market than just one type. The picture does seem to show something more along the lines I mean, but its hard to discern. The Black and Decker idea for the 1100mah wont work being 36mm wide for a 2 cell.

As for voltage jasonwang3a:

Ideally 30amps constant with 40 amps burst. Yes, some of the motors and machines we are putting these in can get that high.

Whatever happened with these packs? I've been holding off building one out of a black and decker since I thought these would be just around the corner. D:

My rumor as I heard it.

A 123 is going to be sold off. Or already has been. Wall street news bit.
LIFEPO4 is a hot commodity now.
