I've been trying to sort through it all to find the best truggy to race for the buck.

My considerations:

1. Losi 8ighT rtr, great radio good motor etc to start
2. Thunder st-1 stadium truggy rtr, have read many great things, amain has was one helluva price right now, up grades would be radio and servos, but I got a jr fm thats capble of 72 channels, all i would need is the servos and reciever, and eventually a better motor
3. Jammin crt truggy, I've heard its one helluva good truggy, but if i spend that much, I'll buy the losi

Now I have a kyosho st usa sitting in my garage but its rtr, should i just race it it comes with a digital AM radio, I hear they are expensive to make competitive. I also have a GS Sut truggy sitting in my garage, Im torn, I just want to do it right instead of cheaping out but if the ttr is all they say it is it might be worth it.

Thanks

ST-1, price just makes it such a bargain. I'm not a Losi fan, but it does have a nice radio.

the losi is good bang for you buck, and if it suits your driving style can be very fast as well, some people love them, some don't performance wise (i love it personally), but it comes with a great engine and radio, both of which are seldom seen on an RTR vehicle, and is strong enough for anything your likely to be doing (i bash mine mostly, race once a month).

theres plenty in the ST-1 though, check this one out lol, .60 plane engine in it, two speed, 4 stocks and a bit of alloy, would make a good show pony, i'm annoyed i didn't buy it, owner only wanted $600 aussie for it but i didn't have that much on the day.

seems th epics wont load, i'll see if i can get em up later.

CEN has a awesome car swap program. I sent in an old vehicle that I knew I never would waste my time messing with again and got a Matrix TR RTR for 350. This was back in March so I am not sure if that is still a great deal or not now. I have not been in the market for another Truggy. Give them a call, the Matrix TR was not listed as a choice on the website (car swap program) but they were awesome to work with.

ST1 RTR's are $300 on Amain and you can get the TR Arena kit for $300 on ebay, pretty cheap prices.

Yes but the trarena kit has no engine or electronics so thats at least another $300. You cant beat teh price or quality of teh st1 in a rtr truggy.
