Hi Bob,

I fished a Turbo Jett out to mount (long after any instructions were misplaced) and noticed the lack of a pressure tap. Any suggested locations to drill and mount one? Thanks again!

Hi Rich......

All of the turbo jett muffler should have a pre-installed pressure tap on them when they ship.

Which size do you have ? I can try to get the correct location for you.

Bob

Bob, it's a 6.5 cc (.40-.60) size. I did find the shipping invoice from 2000....about time I hooked it up!

OK.....

location can be anywhere on the back face... (flat surface). Closest to the engine possible. Usually just "aft" of the engine adapter/header works fairly well.

Bob

btw... what engine are you using this on ?

Bob

Thanks Bob,

The muffler is going on a sport jett .46 and then in a Hangar 9 Aresti. So I'm drilling at the yellow arrow in the attached image. Thanks again!

Rich

yep, that is about the right place.....

Be sure and post a few photos when you have the plane all together!

The photos here are that same engine/muffler combination in my P-51

Turns the crud out of a 10x6, likes big props fairly well too 11x4, 11x5. Good trade of rpm for torque.

I fly the P-51 with a 12x4 ---- trying to slow it down a bit Ground peak is right at 14K rpm, and I fly it set around 13,400

Also runs nice with the 12.23x3.75 prop.

In your aresti, start out with the lighter props..... work up.
