Status: offline 		I have had on of these since they first came out. It is flying with the .36's that came preinstalled and the fixed gear. I like these engines as the airplane flies somewhat scale. One engine out it still flies good enough to get her back on the runway, and I attribute that to the twin rudders. My son went to the Dollar Tree and bought a bag of little green army men and with the use of a dremel tool, a little paint,and a heat gun, I have an airplane full of Pilots and gunners, and even some ground crew when it is on static display I am going to put in a set of E-flight retracts when the weather warms a little and maybe attempt some weathering, and maybe post some pics.





Up is good as long as you are not inverted!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info on the Century Jet retract for the B-25, but I can not find them on their website!! They have everything else but no B-25 gears. They may have drop this gear!!

Good catch. I had bent the axles that day. When I got home had to take them out and straighten them. The gear will also get sloppy from time to time and need to be removed and tightened up. Doesn't seem to matter the brand, happens to my Sierra and CJM's. (Don't tell the guys at my field, but I'm kind of hard on my landing gear!)

I'm actually working with CJM to help them develop a reliable electric set of landing gear for a every size plane. I think Eflight has done about the best job of developing a design that works well utilizing the tiny micro switches to turn the gear motor on and off. I am still a fan of air systems at this point but that is mainly due to the difficulty that most of the maufacturers are having getting real reliability nailed down. Most are close and the day is soon coming when they will probably all be electric but we aren't there yet. Just my opinion of course!

I really like that SpringAir system, going to look at either the 300 or 400 series.  I suspect 300 would work, but will see which will FIT in the model best.

Status: offline 		Thanks guys for the compliments. I am still learning to use my air brush and since doing this plane I have started to see that less is more. Here is my recently completed ESM B-25 and Corsair. I still have work to do on the 25.

Status: offline 		I think you've found that sweet spot. I need to try this on mine. I use an auto touch up hvlp to paint my planes with, along with a pasche airbrush for trim work like camo. Never tried weathering before. I can try it on the B-25 as a learning exercise and if I dont like it, well, I'm stripping it anyway later on to go with a marine gun ship scheme.

Status: offline 		Devil Dog is based in Georgetown Texas just up the road from me. Am thinking mostly about doing the eight .50's in the nose. I just always liked the look of that for some reason. Beth Jenkins is the pilot for Devil Dog and has always been a friend of the modelers. She let us use her hanger for a swapmeet for two years while the community center was refurbished. Devil Dog was moved outside and some of the vendors setup under its wings. Wish I had taken more pictures then. I'm hoping I can gain access to Devil Dog and do a bunch of reference pictures. http://www.devildogsquadron.com/

Status: offline 		Nope! What a thrill that would be. I got a ride in B-17 Texas Raiders back in October. Birthday gift from mom. I'm surprised she even thought of that. I love the sound of B-25 engines starting up. For some reason they are louder than a B-17. Just raises the hair on the back of my neck.

Status: offline 		Just a couple of days ago on the military channel they did a show on the B-25 and talked about the "BIG GUN". How it would momentarily stop forward momentum when it fired. Right now I'm leaning heavily towards Devil Dog since I've not seen one done that way. Still looking around though. I want to finish flight testing first. Will probably fly it into the summer then take it down for refinishing.

That will be a lot of engine for that plane! Good Luck and please video the maiden. You won't need a sync for those engines. Just break them in well on the ground.

Status: offline 		Ok one evo 10cc in on a family bugdet must after I get my top flite p-47 .60 sold. NIB  spectrum just told me they are working on getting there telamatree tc1000 set up to monitor two engines at a time for engine cut out to through running engine to idel and warnings on your tx

Status: offline 		does anyone have the templates for the firewall's. my arf came with 3 electric and 1 glow template. My question is are the 2 glow templates the same 1/8 inch offset to the left and centered on the horizontal line?
