Figured that its about time to start a thread for the Worlds since a lot of people have left or started to leave for Argentina!

I am going to try and maintain a blog during practice and hopefully through the event.

Everyone start posting their links and pictures!

Chad, I saw that you are hoping to have high speed internet at your hotel. From the hotels I have seen in Santa Fe the only one I know of with high speed is the Holiday Inn.

Its a nice hotel (probably THE nice hotel in Santa Fe) and we tried to get reservations probably 6 months or so ago but the entire place was reserved for the folks competing.

Now it looks like we wont even make it. I cant tell you how disappointed I am.

I will be rooting for the Argentinean team but a corner of my hart also wants Quique to be the World Champion.

Personally, I just want all the rookies to be given a fair shake. It will be interesting to see how they hold up under the pressure.

Ok Day 3 Update,

The U.S. team now have cleared customs with all their airplanes, and have them all put together. Today they are practicing at a secret flying site... More to come.

MattK,
I agree with you but history shows that new comers are made to pay their dues the first time they fly in front of international judges. It is not fair but that is the reality of any competition that involves subjective judging.

We wont be able to make it next week but I plan on heading down to Santa Fe this weekend with a friend of mine.

What fields are going to be our best bet for getting to see some of the practices?

Now if we can only find a hotel available

Thank you Daniel, I`ll send them your greetings. Here all is well, today were at the field with the Canadian, British, Irish, Norway and Sweedish teams. I think Colombia and Venezuela were to Rafaella flying field, maybe tomorrow will go there. Are you coming?. Here I send a photo of Ecuador, Norway and Canada teams.
