Winds were too strong and across the runway to put it up, just taxied around. Tail lifted up really nice, no hint of nosing over this time. Came up to near full throttle and aborted prior to lift off. It really wants to fly!!

looking good on the rebuild your recover looks better than before the crash , did you end up using the strap on muffler or get a bolt on unit,a fellow club member has a ST 90 in his TF P-47 and said it pulls with authority I like my 4st engines but I might try one for the FW190 D9

Big Tim,
You should have that FW 190 D9 finished by now! LOL. I had a ST .75 before in my TF P-40. The ST .90 has LOADS more power. It was pulling the Corsair around really well on the ground. I think it is a good match for any of the TF .60 birds including the Dora. I'm using a strap on Bisson Pitts muffler. I prefer it to that in cowl thing I had with the ST .75. When I actually fly it I'll let you know how it does in the air. The biggest advantage to the Saito 1.20 was the extra weight. I now have the battery all the way forward, a heavy hub and several ounces of lead in the nose for balance. Previously I had to add tail weight and had the battery all the way aft.

Andernamen,
Paint the propeller tips yellow and it will look nicer. Best of luck on the next flight.

It Flies!! Finally flew the corsair again on Saturday. Flies beautifully and is actually much easier to fly due to reduced weight. I never checked the incidence, but it must be pretty close. Very short roll out and took to the skies without any trouble. Not as fast as before with the Saito 1.20, but I like it this way. Floated in to land and no tendencies to tip stall. Had a pretty good head wind that may have helped though. Yippee!! Glad to see my time rebuilding was'n't wasted!
