im really interested in buying a bike. i am looking for speed of course. here are my questions.

1. is nitro faster or electric.
2. how much adjustment is there with a nitro bike. is it the same tuning as a nitro truck,
3. what websites are there that have the best.

i will just wait and see what you suggest.

nitros are faster, and tuning and maintaince is the same as a truck. just like the cars and trucks, you can mod them and put up-graded parts on them. here's a link to a great site http://2wheelhobbies.com/ the nitro ducati is awesome, here a link to a tuning run with mine(that's why the bottom body isn't on) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhq9I531dag

what kind of speeds can you get out of a bike and runtime. so your saying its exactly the same as a truck. idle, high speed needle and a low speed needle?

a stock ducati will do 40mph, but with a bigger motor and different gearing they can do 60mph. yes it's all the same stuff, it's just a small block nitro engine.

The brushless/lipo powered electric bikes are faster than a nitro bike. They can be made a lot lighter for one thing.

Electric bikes are like watching the TV without the sound on,give me a nitro bike any day.

2wheels sell all the bikes. You can get 1/8 electric or 1/5 nitro and electric. You need to decide weather you want to buy a kit or a complete RTR bike.I'm fairly new to these as well.I have a TTN and a Kyosho HOR.The nitro is good but their were quite a few issues with the bike that would be difficult for a person with limited RC experience.I just picked up the HOR so the jury still out on that one.I know very little about the NovaFavour bikes but they look good and are a little more money.Sometimes you get what you pay for.The Thunder Tiger needs some upgrades to get it to work good but can be enjoyed in stock form.I did however have issues with parts support. You may want to go to your LHS and find out what the parts support is like for whatever bike you buy.In the end it's your money and you will have to make the final choice.

Yeah, it's difficult to find a LHS that carries parts and hop ups for r/c bikes, but I've never had any problems getting anything. You should have no problem getting whatever you need online. 2wheelhobbies has just about everything for every bike.

As for bike choice, I'd suggest an electric Thunder Tiger for starters. It's the least expensive of the bikes out there, TT parts are less expensive, plenty of hop ups available (from TT and others), and it can be made to perform very well on the track.
