I have an Electric Glider with a 600 can Motor with Direct Drive.

Whilst I can appreciate that an 8.4v Battery would be preferable, would a 7.2v 2300mah NiMh be useable as I only need to use the motor in case the lift dies etc.?

As I am a Pensioner, therefore on a restricted income, I cannot really afford to purchase larger, or indeed Li-poly and associated accessories!

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Ron
