I have a little .25 sized speed plane (130-140mph) and am looking for mini's or sub minis to keep weight down but can handle the speed. One of the HS-81's took a dump last flight. i expect they will need to be metal geared but looking for suggestions.

Status: offline 		I have had good luck with the 85's and 81's. The gears can be fragile if the control surface gets doinked or crashed. Then the metal gears are an option. The 81 MG servo is standard for Open B combat which is a testament to their strength.

HS-225 are a decent bet...... mid-size servos... tons of power, pretty durable in most applications.

Status: online 		Take a look at how tiny the teeth are on HS-81s. I've failed plenty of them on 1/2A planes. The teeth can disintegrate from vibration in less time than it takes to land a plane.
