Hi All,
I just bought an Hacker C50-13XL Acro comp and wondered which ESC to buy either for controllin it with 10s li-po's the Jeti/Hacker Master 90 Acro or the Jeti/Hacker Spin 99?
What are the differences between these ESC's and what do they mean to the models flying performance/handling and propeller size you would use etc?

brgds
Dave

I have the Masterspin 99 with the programming box. Works just fine. 133 flights and counting.

Little tricky at first. It comes with instructions. Problem is, you use it a couple of times and you have to refresh your memory on it the next time you use it which may be never<g> or until you get another motor like I just did for my next airplane. I wish they would come up with a computer interface and software like Castle Creations does for theirs.

Hi Joe,
One last question, i promise!!
The spin 99 controller seems to come in two versions, The spin controller made by Jeti with an orange label and sold by Tower Hobbies or the Hacker/Jeti version with a silver sticker on it sold by Esprit models ? Is there a difference? I can get the Jeti orange sticker version posted from TowerHobbies so that is the attraction.

speak later David

The one that you see on the Esprit site is the one that comes packaged with the Comp motor along with its associated programming box. I am not sure if ther is any differences. The Hacker version may be tweaked for use with the Hacker motors. You'll have to ask the Hacker people.

Hi All,
Well i got the definitive answer from Hobby Lobby that the two versions of the Hacker/JETI Spin 99 opto controller are the same just imported from different sources...so being cheap!! I went for the Orange stickered JETI version...Time will tell if i made a mistake...although the Silver stickered Hacker version does look very nice too!
