fun buggy, force 32 not the best motor, but good enough to have fun with. Can't race this buggy, not legal thats why its the violator. pretty durable buggy. Imediate upgrades, both servos, cnc steering knuckles. the cast aluminum knucles strip out to easily, servos are week for a buggy of this wheel base and weight. If your buying for fun this buggy will deliver.

I bought a violator last spring and preceeded to beat the ever livin' crap out of the thing! Hasn't broken anything... yet.
I DEFINETLY recommend replacing the stock AM Ofna radio it comes with.
The first time I ran mine (after break-in, thank god) I was running it around my friends yard to show it off when it decided that I wasn't going to control it anymore!
It went wide open about 30 yards straight into a tree, leaving a big gash in the tree, then rolled about another ten yards and finaly coming to rest in a pile of brush, still hung wide open untill I ran up to it where it picked up the radio again. I picked it up ,still running, gave it a quick inspection, put it back on the ground and continued to abuse it!
As far as racing goes, you can race it but you have to cut the control arm shorter, but they are made for it. Very easy to do. Also you can't run the Force .32, you'll need a another smaller motor.

In summary if you want to race buy a Hyper 8 rolling chassis. If you just play around and want something to take some abuse, buy a Violator!

You have to cut off the outer hinge pin holes on all of the arms and then you have to replace the front cva's and rear dogbones with shorter ones, ones from the hyper will work as well as the ones from the ravager. You also have to put a legal .21 in it for ROAR events. I have made mine completely race legal except for the engine. A word of warning though, once you narrow it it is much easier to flip it over on tight turns. Stock it is 330mm and once you cut it down it is 310mm, that 20mm makes a big difference in handling, it makes it turn tighter but also flip easier.
