Well if you're mounting them on the axle then I'd really suggest going with the smallest servo you can get for chassis clearance. No matter what you do make sure it's got metal gears. I stripped a 1/4 scale servo on my 1/6 scale buggy in the first few minutes...LOL I just assumed being 1/4 scale it would already be a metal gear servo. Turns out it had plastic gears.

I make all kinds of servo mounts for when I was building the clod crawlers. so making a mount is no big deal plus the ESP chassis is short so there is a lot of room around the gearbox. I just thought I would be cool to use a bigger servo. I plan on using two servos so the steering should real strong.
what kind of shocks are you guys using on this chassis? what would you guys recommend?

Have you seen the size difference between a standard and a 1/4 scale servo? There is a huge difference.

My brother is using Tmaxx shocks on his Zilla II though if you look around you'll find that people use all different kinds of shocks on these things.

Heres a few pictures to show how large the 1/4 scale servo is.

The 1/4 scale next to the standard servo

Just kidding, here are the real pictures.
Standard servo

1/4 scale servo. Might fit but looks like a big brick back there...LOL

Side by side, this picture doesn't do it justice

i know the servo are bigger i have four new ones waiting for me to install. at least i wont have to worry about not having enough power to move the wheels around. it will be fun making and fitting the servo. i think i will make the mount out of carbon fiber and aluminum. and with having the servo on the gearbox i can add another battery pack to the chassis. i think i will be using the clod more for hill climbing and just all out power.

i have a few hitches i can install but will need to mod to alow the use of bigger steering linkage between the steering arms. i also have made steering kits to use behind the gear box so maybe i will use that type on the rear gearbox so i can just mount the hitch with no mod needed. to me this makes the hobby more fun is to fabricate. well for me anyway.

Nope, never even heard of them until you mentioned them. I looked them up but couldn't find a site. Do you know if they have a website?
