Sounds like I missed a great day, lots of people showing up as well. I'll clear my plans for some P-Run races coming up though.

Ok fellas, where is everyone racing this coming weekend? After talking with Bill, it sounds like quite a few guys are going down to the white park track. Anyone interested in going?

Sounds good! I've got some tie downs, if we cant fit everything in the Subaru. You wanna ride on the roof, the trunk, or the hood? I promise to keep it under 100.

Welp, I got my Slash, and have run a battery through it. Only one, since I only have one converted to the Traxxas plugs.

So a few of my thoughts, even though this is the MT forum.

First, everyone at DBs was in agreement with this statement. This truck looks huge. Really, it's not much bigger than a Stampede, and infact shares the front and rear ends. But with the bumpers, it's actually a hair longer than my revo, bumper to bumper. And the extra wide body makes it look big. The width is about as wide as the revo minus 1 wheel. So there's not much to it, but the truck just looks massive.

As far as the big body, the sides are velcroed..velcrod...whatever.. to the side bump bars. This is cool in that the body doesn't flop around, which I was worried about because it's got a lot of lexan between the 4 posts. However, in the heat, I actually pulled one of the strips off the frame. I think I'll do some zip ties to hold it there, and to reduce the area being stuck as well.

As far as performance, the motor is quick. Not blazing fast, but heck, I ran atleast 15 minutes of bombing around the parking lot on my 3800 pack and it was still going pretty strong. Yes, those tires grip enough to roll it on pavement. Basically, if you've driven a Stampede before, you know what this thing is like. SUPER PLUSH suspension, a lot of chassis roll, but in the end, it handles pretty well.

It's pretty danged cool to watch, cause you'll hammer in the corner and it looks just like the full size trucks. The outside sinks way down, part of the rear wheel disappears under the body, and the diff starts to unload like crazy.

The chassis is pretty basic. A lot of space on the main frame, but it's wide such that it can have the side nerf bars. So, it adds weight, but for a good reason. But all said and done, a pretty basic 2wd electric MT. And it is built to accept 7 cell packs.

All said and done, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I wanted to try it in some off-road but everything around my grandparents is super thick sod. They tires are treaded so they will get the truck through, but there's a lot of spinning.

Ya...where are the pics? Some next to the revo would be nice. Sounds like a cool truck.

Maybe he can ski behind it. That way he won't scratch the paint.
