thermalrd, i was going to put a revo 3.3 crowd pleazer body on it because it fits perfect with an extended savage. But I don't have the tools available to me to drill into my shock towers to make a custom wing mount. So now I might just put a truck body on it unless I can come up with something. Thanks for everyone's kind words about my truck it took me a long time and alot of $$$ to make it look like that.

You BlowNmoney, you need to calls me so we can set up the stuff for FTMS Leisure Hours dude.

Steve, I have to say your truck actually looks like it could handle well on a track. You need to bring it out one race and run it with us.

Whats up people! Heres my race report, for those that didnt go.

First off, the track! It was quite nice compared to last year, and an overal nice track. I really enjoyed it. Its a what i would consider a medium, to large track. Hard pack, with some loose on it. From the drivers stand, it would appear the track had some odd angles, that kept messing me with me. After walking across the track, i got to view em better, and realized it was a mind trick. And found some faster lines. So for the track review, two thumbs up! Very nice place. Not too far away, and a nice job on the jumps, bumps, curves, turns, etc. I liked it!

Qualifying was fun. The Revo was great. I setup some LPR crimes on some rulux wheels for this race. Other than being waaaay off balance, they hooked up alot better than the stock tires. The Revo had TONS of steering, and it really need more traction. Those crimes were the ticket. I TQ'd in MT, and had a great time driving the truck all day. I just cant say enough about that Platinum. Unfortunately, we didnt get to the main, due to the storm that rolled in. There were some other fast MT guys there too. So i was really looking forward to racing them. There will be a next time!

Qualifying with buggy, that was fun too. I knew going to this race, there were good odds the bow ties werent gonna be the hott ticket for this track. But i didnt feel like buying, and gluing any others. I dont need to mention it, but you all know i love MT more than anything. So it wasnt a big concern. I adapted to the bowties, and the buggy was feelin good. With better tires, i know i could have pushed alot harder. Overally, the buggy was great. The setup i had on it, was real smooth. I qualified about 4th in the B-main, unfortunately i never got to run it. I was in warm up, and feelin really good. Then my buggy decided to ghost drive off the track at full throttle. Funny how they are always sooo much faster during a run away... lol. And nope, i have no idea why that happened. My buggy is a muddy mess, and i havent touched it yet... Still like the buggy though! Was alot of fun, and im learning more with it, each time i race it. Buggy lesson for today, BUY THE RIGHT TIRES! lol

Overall, the day was fun, but exhausting. It was hott, and retrieving my ez-up was not really fun. It blew away about 3 times. The 3rd time it was in a tree... And i couldnt retrieve it until the surrounding ez-ups were moved... When i finally yanked it out of the tree, we found it a bit damaged. So i'll be needing an ez-up soon. Well, not real soon... The race program was slow, but timely. Meaning, they didnt seem to have any computer issues, but they run a relaxed program. Which was probably good today, in the 90+ weather. The other racers all seemed real nice, and a little more laid back than the local high tension crowd we typically run with here.

Last thing! Not sure any of the locals from down there watch this site, but it was good racing with ya. A good mix of MT's out there today, and that always puts a smile on my face. Anyway, fun day today. Im exhausted, sun burnt, and my back feels like its gonna snap... lol. If i missed any details, im sure batman or jake can fill ya in. Oh, and thanks for the watermelon today steve!

Curiousity got the best of me. I scraped myself off my bed, away from the TV to check the RC8. The throttle servo appears lifeless. I'll check the RX, and make sure nothing in there came undone, pinched, cut, melted, etc.

Looks like you covered everything Matt. I too was having a terrible time with the angles of that track. For me that back right corner my car would almost completely dissapear and screw me all up. I think the stand could have been taller for that layout. I'll bring a milk crate or tuning brick next time to help me out!

Not sure if Steve reads this, but looks like Terrell put your power strip in my truck. I'll bring it to DB's next time I go, or I can hold it until LH if you are going.

Interesting track. I definitely could have used some practice before the racing started.
Were there many local monster truck guys or were most of the MT's FT guys? The MT turnout was good enough for me to consider getting back into monster truck racing. Last year, the numbers were low just about everywhere I went and I dumped my Revo. I dig the heck out of MT's and would like to get back into it. What do you guys think? Is there a possibility that the MT class rebounds?

Well, if every person who was waiting for the class to rebound would just get an MT and go, then..well.. the class would rebound. ;P
