Not sure what happened to my battery box. Its not un-expected. There were plenty of times i was pushing it real hard in qualifying, and just simply didnt downside that crossover. The damage may have also been from last weekend. Where i KNOW i was hammering on this truck hard. I was bottoming out alot last week. And the Bat could be right. I may have hit a spike. I was just caught off guard with my truck running that way. I've never had a motor go soo rich between the qualifiers and the main. Im guessing my tune was off a bit to begin with. I'll have it straightened out next week. Im happy where my truck is, once i get some more power out of this .18. If i cant get the truck to move well once tuned to its max performance, then i'll try without the center diff. Which will require alot more setup changes. But i think i'll be fine next week.

Well im only going to get the Rpm when somthing breaks.
For the wing mount, Did you get a new era aluminum shock tower. then the wing mount.
And im using a gst servo.

I went thru several of the stock knuckles so I got the RPMs. For the wing mount, I made a couple aluminum plates to sandwich the stock rear shock tower and then made a brace going to the chassis. See the picture below. I used a Mugen wing mount that I got from batman.

Speaking of batman, dang, he had 7 laps in the 24 second range.

Batman, those are some serious lap times you were putting down today! Way to go, I saw how fast you were last year up at Sandhill and knew it was just a matter of getting your truck dialed and you were going to be hard to beat. Thanks again for being my pit man Brian! Well see you guys next week at the trophy race.

Thanks for the fast pit Brian, it was so fast you can hardly spot it on my times!

I came in at 9 in and 11 left to go Matt. You can in 2 laps after me. You had to be uber rich to have such a problem using that much fuel.

I've been talking to Matt about my Trophy Race set up, its going to be what you all might call odd. Who knows it might pay off and if not it isn't too wild I can't change it real fast. Going to try the Solid center like Al and Bat. I gotta get a one way front shaft from DB's (need fuel too).

Quick idea of my plan.
Existing Shock set up (45wt front/rear and Orange//Gold springs #1/#2 pistons)
P3 rockers and rods (I was on P2's sunday)
Solid Center (was 300K center diff, amazing steering, but not the best accel)
One way (gotta buy one)
Spool in the front (gotta buy)
Light diff oil in the rear, prolly like 5K

Spool removal and P3-P2 is a quick change if this doesn't work, but we will see. New idea worth trying.

No problem Jake. That's what I came down to do.

Are you sure you want to go with a spool in the front??? I think you'd be better just using thicker diff oil in the front. Spools and jumping are a good combination for breaking stuff.

If you are gonna do that spool at all, id keep that center diff. It will atleast take some of the stress off the drive train being able to unolad up front a bit, and landing jumps. Use the spool, the diff, and the quick turn. LOL. Get r' done!

Well, that makes things interesting. LOL. Trophy race coming up, and a new layout... Hmmmmm... Should i do the usual "no practice ever", or should i squeeze in a day this week... I'll have to check my schedule, see if i can get the time off work, and check in with my new BFF... I might be able to pull it off.

Hey guys, on standby with the wifey so i unfortunately wont be there.

as for practice, y'all wont need it. i am sure that it will be technical, but bet on some sericous crazy traction, turn those monsterbilly tires into slicks and punch it.

LOL. Ya, i thought it was entertaining. So im guessing Al must have gotten more dirt to do the layout change. I hope they have a big turnout for this trophy race.
