I had a defective receiver on my XRAY NT18MT and RC America replaced mine for free. Of course, I confirmed it was defective first and mailed it back to them. Back in action now.

It affected my steering mostly. The truck would jerk right randomly which made it difficult to troubleshoot. I had already replaced the diffs so that was eliminated as a source of the problem. We also switched radios and crystals. The truck wouldn't hold a straight line. We have 4 of the NT18MTs so I traded out the receiver tray from another truck and mine ran great.

amazing car... can't wait to get brushless later this year.
Can't deside with combo should i buy: Sidewinder Micro, new Mamba Micro Pro or Xcelorin (it has bigger package). Probably it will be Xcelorin. Any one tried them both to compare?

I have the Sidewinder 6800Kv kit in my M18t Pro, and it is pretty amazing. If you get the programmer, its amazing all the characteristics you can control, and how quickly it can all be set up. I highly recommend.

Can anyone help me with this :

On my M18MT, the screws that attach the engine mount to the chassis have eaten into the chassis. Therefore I can no longer ge the motor to hold the correct position. The spur and pinion gears keep moving apart and have both become badly worn. Is my only option to buy both a new chassis and spur gear? and if so, how can I prevent the screws damaging the chassis next time.
    Thanks for any advice.

Have you tried using washers w/ the screws? It would be best to just get a new chassis, spur, and what ever else you think you need. Are you still using the stock composite mount?

I have ordered a new chassis and spur now.

As for the washers, I have tried it with some M3 washers. They did help a bit, but they bent and made it impossible to adjust after a while.

    Thanks for your help

Yes it's an issue with the plastic composite chassis, especially if over tightened several times. I pinch up the screws snug and then CA glue the screws in place to stop any slippage. CA glue is quite brital and can be easily defeated if required later.

Small issue but worth a mention. Also I noticed that an aging chassis can flex in this area, effecting the pinion mesh just by lifting the truck up in that area (brushless and hammered). Not that much flex but could be a problem if running a loose mesh and lots of power, could skip and strip damage pinion or spur. That's why sometimes when I set the pinion mesh in my hand and later find that on the road the mesh can be too tight. The longer m18t pro CF chassis does not flex in the same way.

@DarkHorse thanks for your pm reply. I haven´t decided wich one i´m going to buy, the m18t or the m18mt.
I´ve excluded the vendetta, because i do agree that the xray looks better, don´t know if its better, but it looks more professional.

I have some questions you all xray owners don´t mind replying:

    - What servos fit on the xray m18t or m18mt?
    - The pinions that come with the kit, what is the size of the shaft they are made for?
    - I looked at the manual, and the diffs seem equal to the rc18t, do the xray suffer from the same diff problem?

    Hitec HS-82MG is popular.

2mm shaft and a 48 pitch (not metric).

Same size, but do not suffer issues as long as you break in the diffs per the directions. Xrays diffs also are ballraced internally versus the gear just spinning on the outdrive like the other you mention. This adds to their durability.
