Tekin is great and the firmware can be upgraded with the hotwire. Quark AFAIK no longer has an American outlet for warranty.

I just finished with a good maintenance overhaul. I re-oiled stuff, cleaned all rotating parts like new, and am charging the batts right now. It seems my truck ( all stock ) has lost a bit of umpfh, that's why all the cleaning. With all the cleaning, I didn't notice anything out of wack. What would be the first to give a little: the stock motor or the IB 1400 packs?
I do love the IB 1400 pack. Being the motor is still stock after many hours of hard running, should I get a new one after so many hours? I think brushless would be too expensive for me and too fast. I do a lot of off-roading where speed isn't that important but torque is what it is all about!! I got the pack from maxamps, I think they built it well.
I'll post after I run the truck tonight, may-be it just needed the good cleaning. I still absolutely love this truck.

Just get a new motor. Cheaper. The stock Associated 370 should work, or even better, the Graupner Speed 370 6volt (if you can find it).

    Break in the motor first.

Well, I don't know what to think. I think I will just get a new motor. It seems to have the speed, but the sound is different. I have a video of it in my back yard and it doesn't seem to scream like it did then, but I could just be used to it now. Oh well. I guess it's not about the sound anyway! A good cleaning has done it good though. It does seem to be better.

Thanks Mini Me, I'll see what I can find. Why do you say the Guapner motor may be better? Durability or speed/torque?

I am using intellect 1400 batteries now, however the battery connection seems to be loose, so it keeps stopping. It works a bit better if I blast it wth WD40. Has anyone experienced something similar withtheir M18T, and if so, got any ideas how to fix this?

Upgrade to dean plugs? Use an electrical/motor degreaser, not greaser.

So I feel I hit my M18MT nirvana!! This car was my first build and my first real venture into hobby grade RC. After learning about diffs, building them and tuning them, I have my diffs right were I want them. Then was the trial and error of motor/esc/gearing after revereal set ups, I landed on the Tekin Mini Rage with the Hyperion YC22 and a 9t pinion. A few different setting changes on the esc and WOW! Everything I wanted my truck to do is now happening...it was perfect. So this morning I go to charge up my packs and have a little fun, when...What's going on, I turned the power supply on? Why won't it come on...unpluged it for a while...nothing. Turn the powerstrip off and on...nothing! Now I can't charge packs Looks like my lipo or limn purchase goes on hold till I can figure out why my power supply isn't working or buy a new one. Talk about highs and lows, just thought I'd share how my little truck is doing.

In what way to compare, price probably not??
    The m18t/Pro/M18MT weigh in at 500g to 600g (Wheelbase - 150-165mm), the mini-lst is +1000g (Wheelbase - 185mm).

X-ray all the way mate ... bias of course.

No comparison. Xray is far and away the better truck. Its built to very high standards, handles better than any other mini on the market, has strong diffs, thoughtful layout, and is extremely easy to wrench on. Its a joy to own one...and even better to own a few . The only thing the mlst2 has on it, is more ground clearance.

I know Trencin city is not far away from home, but the only thing is stopping me from buying xray is price, domestic price

Look, RC Huligan has NT18MT RTR for about 245$
    Here in Slovakia it costs

    XRAY NT18MT - 4WD 1/18 MICRO NITRO MONSTER TRUCK - LUXURY RTR
Includes XT1 Transmitter, XR1 3-Channel Receiver, 2x Metal Gear Servo, Receiver Battery Pack,
Switch + Connecting Cable, Painted and Trimmed Body + FREE HUDY Start-Box

10,990.00 of Slovak Crown or 550$, for that money i can buy 1/8 Savage RTR
Really can't understand why here in Europe those prices are so high, even for domestic brands. I'll call XRAY guys, i think
