The engine is mounted and the pictures follow, but I can use some help. You will notice in the second to last picture that I am dry mounting the cowl. It does not fit. Has anyone run into this problem before and what did you do to fix it. Any others that can give me some suggestions, please chime in.

THe problem is not the engine but rather it seems to do more with the diameter of the cowl itself.

Art - Yes the scale possibilities are endless. Regarding today's game , I don't even know whos winning right now. I like both the patriots and giants so no matter who wins, so do I.

Tody I have finished the throttle and the 2 x air servos for the canopy and retracts. Next I'll run the air hoses to them and then probalby start on the cockpit as I need to get that doe before glassing. ALso, I fixed the cowl issue by sanding the upper sides of Former 1. It now fits just fine. Here are the pics.

Not a great deal of progress today. But I've managed to install the tank leaving to do the plumbing and added muffler extensions where I want them. The exhaust shall be below the fuse.

Art - The exhaust is now done as in the pic. That's how ROy Vaillancourt said to do it, so I'm going to stick with it the way I now have it. Also, Roy said no right thrust into the engine: zero degrees on the firewall. If there is a problem, then I'll correct for it after the maiden flight -- all going well LOL. Yes, I will be glassing her with some .5 oz cloth then paint.

RIght now I am trying to decide how I want to disable the steering servo for when the retracts are up. I have an idea but am too tired to put it in tonight. Maybe tomorrow after I take a trip to the local hobby shop and pick up some large dia. tygon to finish up the tank.

Hope you enjoyed yesterday's game. I heard it was a good one.

thoughts on dissable tailwheel servo when retracts up....
isnt that somthing u might be able to do with a computer radio?
or program to a freely assigned function switch? i dunno just a thought
dont know what radio your using....
for instance: linked to rudder when retract servo position down
un linked and not used when retract servo in valve up position
just a thought ...also seen another fellow use springs on tailwheel cables on servo end...when tailwheel up cables sloppy and no movement
just throwin ideas at ya i confused myself
