I have just purchased AFPD, the game commander version. I also want to use this software with my own transmitter (Futaba 6exa). I understand that I may need a slave cable but everything I've read about this says you can use your own transmitter with the slave cable in 2 player mode, no mention of single player mode. I'd like to know whether I can use my own transmitter in single player mode in AFPD, this is very confusing, any help would be much appreciated.

This is the quote from the Ikarus website concerning the use of the slave cable "For your Ikarus Aerofly Professional Deluxe: Attention” This cable works only in conjunction with the plugged-in ORIGINAL Aerofly Professional Deluxe Interface Cable or Game Controller! This cable allows to connect a second transmitter to your Aerofly Professional Deluxe and fly in 2-Player mode."

Hi Gary, thanks for your earlier email and welcome to RCU! Yes you can use your own radio in single player mode. You will still need to plug in the game commander into a usb port as the GC contains a software key to enable AFPD. Plug in your radio through the slave cable into a free usb port. With the 6EXA you will need to get the Futaba adapter http://www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk/detail.php?JPNO=7710070&activepage=1&Navmain=Simulators&subcatname=Ikarus%20Simulators

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response, that's most helpful, so now I have the choice of the game commander or my transmitter in single player or I can use both together in 2 player, that's good to know.

Cheers

Gary
