Looking nice mrbigg!

Thanksman. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Finished the gluing the end caps on the wings today. Did some sanding and a little filling also. One more final sanding in the morning and I'll start covering the wings.

Beef, anytime is good. Give me a jingle. Doesn't look to good for flying weather wise.

I spent about an hour and a half covering the bottom of the other wing. Should have the rest done by tonight and then get some pics up.

Some pics of the stabs. Stabs are about the same size as my .40 size SuDoKoi. Cutting the stripes were a hassle.

Finished up the covering. I went ahead and hinged everything as it was completed. I also sealed the hinge gaps. That's what took so long. I took the gear off and polished it. Also mounted the wheel pants.

Here's the bottom. Influenced by QQ, you can tell. The whole plane is Ultracote except for the white, which is Monokote that I had laying around. I had just enough to do the job. I laid the stipes down one after another. The Monokote requires a higher temp than the Ultracote so I had to use a higher temp on the iron which was right at the Ultracote's upper heat limit.

wessco- I'm still debating engine choice.

Strankon- Haven't weighed the whole thing yet. The wings weigh about 3.5 pounds with no servo, horns, or linkage. Sounds like alot, but they are huge and foam core with 1/16" sheeting. Each panel is 52" long, 28" chord at the root and 14.5" at the tip.

That looks sweet !!! I like the wheel pants too..I got the Sicho's rudder repaired and put new pieces of ply on both sides of the fuse for the landing gear mounts.. Also I'm going to change the tank on the Edge to a 4 oz tank to see if helps with the weight. I will be in your area on sat to look at Dales plane so I might stop by if you are going to be home...
