That would be all up weight before fuel.

Got the taper all done. added the ply for the tail wheel. The plans had just a big gap under the tailwheel ply so I put some foam under it to bolster it up a bit.

Looking good, beef. How did you cut the taper on a fuse this size? That sure is a lot of sheet balsa!

I have a Mojo kit about 75% finished right now, this makes it look like a tiny park flyer.

That was the scary part. I clamped two steel pieces of stock to top and bottom then layed it on my belt sander until it was flush with steel stock. flipped it over and repeated for other side , did it again for small taper also. It was snowing balsa dust !!

That's why I asked. I hate getting way into a structure and then having to do one of those no return kind of steps. Turned out good, though.

I saw your new pipes on the other thread. Going out to Dynamic Balsa Fri afternoon to pickup wing tubes and things. I'm going to nix the foam wings on this plane and save them for a Extra profile later. I'm not going to use the wings in the plan either. Going to do a set like the ones on my Edge. Hope to get alot done this weekend. I'll keep you posted!!. I got a question for you...What would be the longest acceptable control rod length on the elevator and rudder ?? Like I said before this thing calls for a pull pull setup on the elevators and rudder .. I would like to get away from the pull pull setup on the elevators but my fuse is narrow at the tail. I thought about mounting them on the stab..Any Ideas ???????????. also it calls for 2 high torque servo's per aileron Do you think this is a little overkill ? would I be ok with 1 high torque Or maybe 2 standard servos per wing ?? After all this plan was for a 180 size build..

You can put them in the tail. Put some balsa servo rails back there. About a 1/4" thick. See if he has about a 1" diameter wing tube. I know he has a 1 1/2" left but it'll be overkill and add excess weight. Use only one aileron servo per wing, centered in the middle. The bare minimum I would use is Hitec 645 Metal Gear servo. Your getting into the bigger planes now and the cheap 15 dollar servos don't cut it. My Ultimate has over $800.00 in servos and about $80.00 in aluminum servo arms. Welcome to giant scale.

Getting closer !!! . Sill alot of sheeting , shaping and sanding work to do on the wings and fuse . Ran out of sheeting so when I go to the LHS I'll also pick up a tailwheel and fuel tank . Need to fab a set of landing gear. Also have to make the all important decision on what motor to put in it..

What size wood is your fuse built from? I like the taper on the rear of the plane, which gives it more of a hybrid look.
