Started laying out the fuse today. I used the plans from the Ultimate, modified of course. After laying everything out, I taped up the sheeting. Then we cut out the foam core and glued it togther.

They've been doing that on the big Ultimate from Hangar 9. The use the servo hole closest to the fuse. It really depends on how stiff the ailerons are. Check'em and see if they flex alot. If they don't, I would use a Hitec 5995 or JR 8611a. You can get them at Troybuilt Models Cheaper than Tower or Horizon if you buy more than one.

Did some work on the hybrid this weekend, Had to cut the bottom of the fuse off under the motor to make room for the pitts muffler that came with it. Also extended the top of fuse to shorten gap from back of thrust washer. Also had to make new set of landing gear to get enough ground clearence for 20x8 prop. Going to have to put servos up front due to being tail heavy with this lighter motor. Camera batteries dead so no pics just yet... My focus is shifting a bit due to getting the yak finished..

Just picked up a new incidence meter at Sears. They have a digital level that's pretty slick. Also on sale at a price of $24.99 compared to $34.99. It has a magnetic base which will work great when I rig it up to my customized GP Laser rig. Never did like that thing. Even though it had a ball bearing on the laser, it still seemed to bind up and give false readings. This level reads in small increments when using the degree setting. You can set it on any surface and zero it out. Pick up one end and watch the degree change. It displays the degrees in tenths. Examples- .1, .2, .3, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc........

Here's a couple of pics. One shows a wing panel next to a Wildhare Extra's wing panel. That plane had an 87" wingspan.
