Got the fuse sheeting done.. Mounted the motor . Im begining to worry, this thing is 14.6 lbs and I still need to add servos and batteries. after all is said and done I think it will be closer to 16 lbs. I hope the ST3000 is up to the task. .

I had to forgo putting tank inside fuse ,just to many issues..

What happened? I though the airframe was pretty light. What's the motor weight?

Here I'm lining up the stab. I went ahead and make the plywood plates that the stabs will sit against. I put them both on the same side and used my portable drill press to drill the holes for the socket.

Yesterday I modified my GP incidence meter. I had already changed out the stock aluminum bar to a 1/8x3/4x40" aluminum bar. I''ve always had trouble with the laser part rocking free, even though it''s mounted on small bearings. I picked up a digital level from Craftsman. I got it on sale for 25 bucks, the regular price is 35. It has different ways of measuring. I like the degree part. It reads degrees to the tenth. It also has a button for zeroing out. Since it has a magnetic base, I went to Ace and picked up some angle steel. I went ahead and cut a piece off that''ll fit the level. I pop riveted to the aluminum bar. I thought I was done, but when I put it on the wing, the bottom piece of steel that was hanging below the aluminum was hitting the wing. So I took it back to the chop saw and cut the bottom off even with the bar.

Beef, here's a link to a search I did on your 3000. One thread said it's similar it power to a 35cc chainsaw engine. I don't know if your going to be happy with that performance at you all up weight. You might want to sell and get another Brillelli 46.

I think I will give it a whirl and see how it does. Did the covering. finished everything but the vertical stab, rudder and fuse. Pink on top . Wanted a wow!! factor.

Nice and bright for sure!

I've been out setting up the wing tube in the fuse. I just epoxied the plywood plate on. I also cut the the plates for the root ribs. I'm not going to use ply for the whole rib. Just around the socket and down below for the bolt tabs. The rest of it will be balsa for weight savings. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be setting the incidence for the wings and stab.

Beef ditch the 3000. Your 46 Brielli would be more suited for that planes wieght. Usually at 16lbs a 50cc gasser is the choice engine. With the 3000 ST you will prolly lose altitude at a full throttle hover.

The Brillelli is already in the Yak so I guess I will have to look for another motor
