2008 Liberty Bell Jet Rally

Come join us 31 July, 01-03 August 2008 at the Donegal Springs Airpark, Marietta, PA. East/West runway with large pit area. Many tourist attractions in the area including HersheyPark, Gettysburg, Lancaster Amish Country, outlet stores, etc.

As last year, this is a constant flying event, bring lots of kero to burn. We are negotiating to extend the flying an additional hour in the evening and should have a final answer soon.

More info at www.libertybelljetrally.com

Cindy and I are looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Mike

Hello Folks,

Come join us at the South Albany airport for " Capitol Jets IV".
To be held during the second weekend in July 2008.
The airport personel were very supportive and desire our presence yet again.
Our 2008 event will be further improved by the removal of most of the perimiter high trees that caused some concern last year. Furthermore, the management has continued with their airport enhancement upgrades that will make this location one of the finest in the northeast to conduct our jet activity. Please check our web page throughout the winter period as we continue to plan this event.

Regards,
Frank A Alvarez.

MICHIGAN JETS APPRECIATION CHARITY EVENT
AUGUST 8TH, 9TH, & 10TH, 2008
Michigan Jets would like to thank all the pilots that have made our event succesful. We know when you participate in our event you take time off of work, spend money for hotels, gas and food. You are risking your plane so we can have an event. Without you we could not raise a penny.
We have raised about $80000 since we started having the event. Thank you for making some sick kids happy. The parents tell us each year how they appreciate the pilots.
We have changed the date due to improvements at the airport.
This year we will have the event [August 8,9 and 10th,2008. This year the event is for you. We want to make this an appreciation event. There will be no LANDING FEE and we are working on a dinner also.
So please come and have a good time.

More details to come.

Happy Holidays
Michigan Jets Crew

I am also pleased to announce that George Thomas will be co-CD.

Cincinnati Jets 2008

We are in the process of organizing the first annual Cincinnati Jets event and the date for the event will be July 25-27 for the 2008 flying season. This will be a first time event and will be held at the privately owned Hook Field airport in Middletown, Ohio located just north of Cincinnati and we will be flying from the 50' x 6,000' taxiway. Kerosene is available at the end of the airport drive or you can buy Jet-A at the airport and we will have an 8,000 sq ft hanger available for overnight storage of our jets. There will be 9 or 10 hookups for RV's on-site.

There are several brand new hotels and practically any restaurant you can imagine all within 10 minutes of Hook field. For those who want to come early or for wives who would like to find something to do with the kids during the day there is the Beach water park and Kings Island amusement park both within 30 minutes from Hook field as well as a park with walking paths and a lake right across from the flying site.

We are still working on many of the details for the event and will post updates as we move forward. There will be several individuals involved in hosting the event besides myself and my wife Sandy, and all are jet pilots who regularly attend jet meets. In the next few weeks we will be able to provide additional information concerning contact information, hotels, etc.

We are all looking forward to our first annual event and hope that many of our friends will be able to attend...Thanks, Gary Jefferson

BEST IN THE WEST JET RALLY JANUARY 18-20

The Best in the West Jet Rally is less than two months away and closing fast. BITW is sponsored by the Coachella Valley RC Club and held at the beautiful wide-open spaces of the Coachella Valley Model Air Park on January 18-20, 2008. The field has an over 700 ft. runway, 260 acres of unobstructed desert and essentially unlimited flight ceiling. Sam Wright of TOP GUN and FLORIDA JETS fame will announce BITW. BITW also promises great catering and a free pilot raffle.

The site is about 30 miles East of Palm Springs, California and occurs during the prime weather season in the valley. The field is near lodging, casinos and is easily accessed by freeways. There are blocks of hotel rooms reserved till December 15th, so visit the website given below to get reservation phone numbers and also pre-register for the event. The website also has some great pictures from both the 2006 and 2007 events.
