Friends,

Does this look correct after a real good 30 second shake and 10 minutes later?

It's cool power 15% and Amsoil Saber Outboard Synthetic Oil.

I added 1.2 ounces to one quart of Cool Power to get a 14/20 blend to run in my OS.32FX/Macs Pipe combo.

I'm not sure if this kind of oil is supposed to be mixed with Glow Fuel.

It sure doesn't look like it mixed.

I will not run this until I hear from some experienced people.

In fact, a friend just said he's got some Klotz (also pictured) he'd let me use.

You should not use any oil which doesn't mix and go into solution with methanol. Most synthetics such as Mobil 1 and Amsoil will not mix with methanol. When you add these oils to methanol and shake the mixture, the oil will form tiny globules and settle out, usually to the bottom of the container. If you want to put extra oil into your glow fuel, you should add castor or Klotz, or other synthetic which will go into solution with methanol.
Best Regards
JC

If you drop a drop of your test oil in methanol, you should check the following:
The drop will sink to the bottom in the methanol jar.
If now, the drop stays a drop, the oil will not mix
If however the drop creates a mole-hill on the jar bottom, with the base slowly getting wider, chances are good that the oil will mix.
Now make a mix of your intended concoction, shake it well, and leave for 14 hours. The liquid should be clear without any haziness, and there should be no traces of separated drops on the jar bottom.
Next step is to test spray bar flow compatibility, and the function of the exhaust pressure system. To that end you need to run the engine.
If the expelled oil does not form gelling agents that clog the muffler pressure line, you have a winner.
