Just curious what the pilots here think. Will it happen? What will come of it?

What will happen? The cost of airline tickets will go up and the number of flights go down. There will be more multiple stops and they will charge you for water. The stews will get older and the seats get pushed closer together. What did you think was going to happen. Norm

Now Delta and United are denying the story. Corporate politics sure is interesting. But, as the story suggests, I guess this merger would have a hard time getting approval.

Having friends that work for Delta, I was a bit concerned. A United/Delta merger would probably spell the end of CVG as a Delta hub. I guess one way or another, there will be huge changes in the industry comming anyway. Should be interesting to see.

These things are driven with a sole purpose - to make money for the investment companies and the robber baron CEO's. What happens after their checks clear is of no interest to them. The "new" company can go bankrupt the next day and put everyone out of work and they really could not care less once they got theirs. The more vehemently the companies deny the merger talks, the more likely it is true.

Don't worry, when Anderson left NWA to sell insurance guess who his biggest new customer was? NWA. Now at Delta, I see on the regional level his influence with my old company now flying for both delta and NWA.
