Now that I've broken in and flown my sj .50 a few times I can say I love that engine! Am considering a .60 lx for a Kougar or Juno f-20 (based on forum suggestions). My question is - the .60 lx just as user friendly as the sj .50. Being the same size and weight, it appears to be the same engine - just bored out a bit. What other changed does it have? i.e. muffler, carb etc. Someone mentioned using a black muffler with the .60 lx, as the Jett site shows a red one.
Thx
JTH

the 60Lx actually has a gold muffler now Same color as the 90LX.

The LX muffler is the "SS" sport racing muffler. No need to go with the black muffler (AMA racing muffler) on the 60LX unless the engine is going on an actual racing plane (something capable of 150mph or higher) where the engine can really unload in flight and where the APC racing props can be properly applied. For sometihng like a prop jet, stick with the standard version LX muffler it comes with.

Same size and weight... not strickly just bored out... its balanced design. Higher timed than the regular sport engines, so we will caution it is slightly less user friendly.... that being with regard to having to stick with a narrower tuning range, and thus prop selection is more critical and the fuel system must be right. Engine otherwise runs pretty much just like the SJ-50... and with your previous experience setting up and running the jett engines, you will have no issues with the 60LX.
