Just wanted to let you know that I flew my c47 yesterday. It flew really well, I will make a few minor adjustments and will fly again today. I ended up having to put 2-1/2 lbs of led in the nose for a total weight of 25lbs, cg @ 4" can't wait to fly it again. I do have some video and pictures which I will post later.

Status: offline 		Bill, congrats on your maiden flt. Glad to hear all went well. Mine is still sitting on the bench. I've just got too many other things going on right now to work on it. Maybe during the holidays. Good to know the weight required to balance and the actual cg location. That's always a shot in the dark for a lot of ARF's. Looking forward to your video. Mike

Hopefully I get a couple pictures posted and a couple short videos, I had a friend (Chris the best pilot in our club) madien it for me. We didn't have the cowls on and we were having a little trouble with the left retract sticking so we flew it with gear down. otherwise it flew fantastic.

Status: offline 		I have the ESM DC-3 which I purchased from ARF-Pro. It's basically the same, as I believe it is ultimatey manufactured by the same company in China. It's a well built arf for what an arf is. As with most arf's the instructions suck, and the DC-3 has one issue that I had to change and that is the tail wheel itself and the linkage that goes with it. I got the coverd wing set which is ok, but I wish I had spent the extra $ and gone with the built up wings. There was some one here that did go electric but don't recall the details. The problem with going electric would be easy access for battery exchange. You would probably have to cut a hatch in the fuse belly forward of the wing. Plus you will need a lot of extra weight to get it balanced, which with the size batteries needed to power this arf would provide. Just my $.02 ACF

I have just converted my DC3 into electric, earlier I had installed 2 Zenoah 20cc engines, but, that made this plane very heavy and also twitchy to fly.
Now, I am using 2 RIMFIRE motors with two, 6 Cell 5000 mAh LiPos. I have installed batteries right under the nose and their combined weight of 1.5 Kgs. perfectly balances the model.

Status: offline 		I am also eyeing those new Evolution 10cc engines. I guess I will wait for 6 months, so that they will have enough time to iron out teething issues.
