The brushless savage project is coming together. Mainly just testing and such at night. When you work with higher voltages and amp draws you find out what batteries really hold up. The IB cells failed horribly with 6 vented cells and the elites cells are holding strong with a better capacity. One of the IB cells even vented during a .5A charge.

Yeah, I found this out the hard way as well. I like the Elite cells.

Nothing yet, snow turned to rain so I doubt I'll get any this weekend. I will have pics though.

it snowed in sd. And then we had freezing rain. Then it snowed again. That would be cool to take a mt (like a genesis) and put a shovel on it.

Ya, I was a little upset about the rain.

Anyway, I got some heat shrink for the batteries so everything is coming together. I will try to post new pics tonight of the finished Savage.

Ok, lets try this again!

Here's the packs, nothing special. Three layers of heat shrink and 3600 Elite cells.

I flipped the battery mounts to raise the batteries above the bottom of the Bronco body. Not really trying to protect them, just wanted it to look cleaner. I also took the advice of some of you and am using velcro straps as well as velcro on the bottom of the pack. So far it holds really well. I also put velcro on the bottom of the mount to hold the strap in place. To protect the side of the battery pack from the TVP I used extra velcro fabric.

Quick shot of the battery connector I use, it's a series connection.

Little trick I use to keep the bumper supports in place.
